Croatia - Days of Regional Development
16 May 2011

The Croatian national Days of Regional Development will be taking place from 23 – 25 May 2011 in Šibenik, Croatia. The first national regional development conference is organised by the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management.

The main purpose of the three-day event is to promote the importance of regional development in the Republic of Croatia, in the context of Croatian accession to the European Union. One of the objectives is to encourage local communities to prepare projects that could be financed from EU funds, by highlighting positive examples of the use of EU funds based on the experience from  EU Member States and Croatia itself.

Participants in the Days of Regional Development will include representatives of the European Commission, Croatian national institutions in charge of managing EU funds, central and local authorities, current and potential beneficiaries of the EU funds in Croatia and many other invitees from Croatia and abroad.

The event will present an opportunity for a detailed presentation of CBC Programmes in which Croatia participates, including the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme.

For more information about the Conference, please visit the official Web site of the event.
