Still to come in 2013

As the Programme approaches its final year, so the implementing activities are tailored to the specific new stage of the programming period. With no more calls for proposals planned, the main focus will be on the implementation of the funded projects and the preparation for the following financial perspective and, accordingly, the new programming period. However, the biggest event in 2013 will, without any doubt, be Croatia’s Accession to the EU.

The main principle behind IPA (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance) funds being the preparation of the potential member states/candidate countries for the accession to the European Union, it can be said that this goal has been fulfilled to the maximum by the Hungary-Croatia IPA CBC Programme. It is still within this programming period that this historic moment will happen and Croatia will become the 28th Member State

The 1st of July 2013 is not only a big date for Croatia, but also an important milestone for the HUHR IPA CBC Programme, as from that date on – the Programme starts to phase into the large European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) family.
Reflecting the new focus of the Programme on the implementation of projects funded through the Programme and the presentation of their results and outputs, the programme website is to undergo some substantial changes to best serve the new visibility requirements and optimise the transparency of the Programme activities.
Finally, the major task in front of the programme implementing structures for the next year is the planning for the next programming period through the work of the joint HU-HR Task Force. The first steps have already been taken by the announcement of request for expression of interest – Drafting of the programming document for the cross-border co-operation between Hungary and the Republic of Croatia for the programming period 2014-2020 that was published by the Managing Authority of the Programme on 4 October 2012 and closed on the 18 October 2012.
