Newsletter - Third Call for Proposals

Third Call for Proposals Launched

Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme is happy to announce the launch of the Third Call for Proposals in the frame of the Programme. Appropriately, most of this issue of the Newsletter will be dedicated to this event: you will get an overview of the content of the Call, including the newly-opened ‘tourism’ actions, detailed information about the upcoming Information Days as well as valuable pointers to the most important information related to the submission of your project proposals.
Though the Third Call is in the focus of the Programme at this moment in the Programme life-cycle, there are other activities that we would like to draw your attention to: implementation of first and second call projects, new developments on the Programme website, as well as other activities that await us as we approach the end of the present programming period.
The most important event that we all look towards is, naturally, Croatia’s imminent signing of the Accession Treaty and its subsequent accession to the European Union, which will mean the continuation of the successful co-operation in the next programming period between now two Member States.

Largest Call so Far

Following a period of intense preparation, including adaptation and revision of existing documentation and elaboration of new documents, and in line with the financial timeline of the Programme period, 22 November 2011 marks the point of the launch of the Third, and so far the largest Call for Proposals in the frame of the Programme.

New: Tourism Actions Open

Following the elaboration of the Regional Tourism Product Plan, the Third Call for Proposals for the first time includes funding for the tourism-themed projects.  This time the Actions in the Area of Intervention 1.2 (Sustainable Tourism in the Mura- Drava-Danube River Area) are open for project proposals, what is more, funding of the development of tourism in the cross-border region represents the main focus of the Third Call for Proposals.

Info Days Tour 2011

December will be an especially festive time for the Programme. With the third round of Information Days planned for just before the holiday season, good will and plenteousness will hopefully also reflect in the strong partnerships and high quality projects resulting from these events. The abundance of information and advice that the applicants will get will be an introduction to a fruitful application process.

Second Call Project Kick-off Events

Simultaneously with the preparations for the launch of the Third Call, the Programme has been working on the implementation of the previously closed calls for proposals and on the implementation of the projects awarded funding in them. Immediately after the announcement of the supported projects within the Second Call in late April the contracting phase ensued followed by many project kick-off events.

Second Call Project Implementation

Sixty new projects awarded funding within the Second Call for Proposals are being implemented by a total of 167 project partner organisations. To help them in the huge effort of effortless project implementation, a number of new documents have been developed, educative workshops organised, presentations made, numerous questions and enquiries answered and consultations held.

Finalised Projects: 35 and Counting

Visible traces of the EU funding channelled through the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme can be seen throughout the programme area. By the end of October 2011 a total of 35 First Call projects was successfully finalised within the Programme, with the activities implemented forming a widest range of different events, developments and measures taken.

New Features of the Programme Website

Serving as the main communication tool of the Programme, the Programme website is regularly updated with the freshest and most relevant information about the Programme. Growing together with the Programme, the website has been updated with new content and several new features. With finalisation of first call projects, and numerous new projects within the Second Call, the Project section has been expanded and now has a lot more to offer.
